Appearance:
Shikan has pure jet black skin that makes him seem as if made of solidified shadows. He has one exposed eye that is a light blue shade. Over his skin Shikan wears a red and blue jester’s outfit. The hat is topped with a pair of gold bells. Shikan’s shirt is a vest design with gold trim. His pants are torn at his shins and are held with a wide leather belt. On this belt is a pair of holster style pouches that hold his katars in them so that he can grab them at a moment’s notice. On the back of this belt is a ring just wide enough to hold the shaft of Shikan’s illusion producing staff. The staff is made of pure gold and at the top there is a crescent moon. Shikan also wears no shoes at any time.
Personality:
Shikan is a very playful being. At times he can seem childish or a bit like a trickster; but at times Shikan can be serious for a little bit of time should he need to be. Shikan gets along well with a good deal of children due to his personality being that of a jester’s; yet Shikan will be a bit unsure of how to act should he encounter one who fears him; such as paliatsosophobia which is a fear of clowns, jesters and buffoons. If Shikan is competing against someone or fighting them he may begin to taunt the opposition; mainly as a way to get them to possibly slip up.
Abilities/Skills/Strengths:
Warp: He is able to fade away and reappear at a location he has been to or that he can see. As well gives the ability for Shikan to move from the mortal realm to hell itself.
Minor illusion spells: He must be holding his staff for this and the illusions don’t hurt a person directly.
Enhanced flexibility: He is able to bend over backwards and bend his body in positions that would break other people’s bones; even when in a fight.
Enhanced jump height and distance: With his training from his previous occupation and his body type he is able to jump very far and very high.
Balance: He is able to walk along very narrow paths with ease; such as tightrope walking.
Enhanced longevity: Shikan is seemingly immortal and eternally young; which shows his age is a complete mystery to all who know him.
Weaknesses:
Since he is very light and built small he is not able to take hits too well.
Shikan is not able to hurt someone too easily with physical attacks due to low strength.
Shikan can’t stand to be inactive too long; making him seem impatient.
Shikan also is mute which can cause issues when he wants to communicate.
Though Shikan may be unable to die by age he has had a number of cases he nearly died; which shows he can be killed.

Background (History):
Shikan being a harlequin is a denizen of the underworld charged with the task of dragging sinners and damned souls down to hell. Through his travels to the mortal realm Shikan has grown comfortable around the living to the point where he has decided to spend his free time there; knowing he may be dragged away at a moment’s notice by the lords of hell to once more do their deeds. Shikan has made a few friends out of mortals in the past but many times he had to bring them down to hell do to their actions in life. At times Shikan will also offer to sell his skills to retrieve lost items to others; often times helping a child to retrieve a lost pet free of charge. Though he may be comfortable to a great extent around mortals and demons alike Shikan has yet to meet a being to call his significant other; which could be due to his enhanced longevity that has kept him alive for many generations.
